Other things to mention… Our home is located in Damas, a scenic and tranquil neighborhood near Manuel Antonio National Park. The area is historic for the women growing and giving food to communities across the country. The neighborhood offers a variety of excursions perfect for adventuring within a short walk or drive. Immerse yourself in an exceptional vacation experience, relishing in diverse outdoor activities, soaking up the tropical sun and engulfing yourself in the natural beauty of the region's flora and fauna. Here are some things you can do while visiting this region: Bird Watching: Costa Rica is a paradise for bird enthusiasts. We supply binoculars for you to explore the rich birdlife in the surrounding rainforests. Keep an eye out for toucans, hummingbirds, herons and a wide variety of other birds. Monkey Watching: White Noise regularly has Squirrel Monkey visitors. They can be spotted swinging and jumping from the trees lining the river from either the patio, pool or river front tub area. Stargazing: The clear skies away from the urban lights make White Noise a perfect spot for stargazing making it perfect to reflect on the adventurous day from the stargazing hammock right off the deck. Hiking: Adventurous visitors can embark on hikes to the summit for stunning ocean and mountain views. White Noise has a main hiking trail and two adventurous hiking trails that run alongside creeks. A seating area, hammock and firewood is provided to start a sunset fire right on property. Horseback Riding: We support our local businesses and with a short walk, a private horseback riding tour to a private waterfall can be discovered and incudes lunch right on the river. Zip-Lining: Zip through the jungle tree-tops like Tarzan over the lush tropical jungle and jump into waterfalls with transportation from and to White Noise included. White Water Rafting: For the novice and expert rafters, those feeling adventurous enough can explore water rafting in the thick of the jungle. National Park Tours & Hiking: Discover why Manuel Antonio National Park is one of Costa Rica’s best diverse parks with one of the countries most exquisite beaches. Discover solo or with a tour guide. Hike the many well-maintained hiking trails. Surf or Paddle Boarding: Manuel Antonio is a popular destination for surfers due to its consistent waves. Whether you're a seasoned surfer or a beginner, you can find surf schools and board rentals in the area. Nauyaca Waterfalls: Hiking to the stunning Nauyaca Waterfalls. Although an hour or so in distance, this is worth the mention. The journey through the rainforest is as rewarding as the destination, and you can swim in the natural pools at the base of the falls.
