Looking for a quiet place near the city? Take a look at our house in Svartskog, just 30 minutes from Oslo. The property includes its own private beach and dock – great for a morning swim or fishing. The villa was built in 1886 and is approximately 170 m2 with an annex of about 30 m2. The house is situated right by the sea in a scenic protected landscape area with ancient forest on the hill behind and rich wildlife. There are nice fishing,hiking opportunities and foraging available just outside. The house has several outdoor areas on a large, secluded, and fenced area with a large garden and natural plot. Ideal for dog owners. In the main house, there is a fully equipped kitchen (dining space for 8-10 people), living room and TV room, toilet and bathroom on the lower floor, as well as office space. There are a total of four bedrooms in the main house: Two with 180 cm beds and two with 120 cm beds. Additionally, two sofa beds (one 140 cm and one 90 cm). In the annex, there is a 120 cm bed and a 140 cm sofa bed. There is also a kitchen and a shower. The house has two tile stoves and a regular wood-burning stove, as well as heated floors in rooms with tiled floors. Firewood for stoves and fire pit is included. From the property, it's a 15-minute drive to Kolbotn or Vinterbro. Kolbotn has several cozy cafes, a cinema, and restaurants. Tusenfryd is within a 20-minute reach. Ingierstrand beach has a good restaurant, and this is about a 20-minute drive away. There are several attractions nearby, such as Svartskog kolonial, which is a pleasant small shop and cafe at the top of the Svartskog hill. Roald Amundsen's home is a museum about the Norwegian polar explorer (remember to check the opening hours). There are good hiking opportunities from the property. You can follow the coastal path further in from Sjødalstrand. You will then pass the famous Sherpa steps and enjoy beautiful nature on a good path. You can continue on this path to Breivoll. You can also walk up into the forest, where you can reach Sjødalstrand Farm. Further on, you will get to "The Farm on Svartskog". They sell their own products on Sundays.
