This is a residential area with amenities and services meant for daily living. There are many convenient and well serviced transport links to the
City which is only a short trip away. The house is also very close to the airport which is great for any overnight links or if you want to wind down before or after your flight. The rooms are very relaxing and cozy which lend well to this. Please so not give low scoring for location and things to do as this is very clear to you when booking. Most entertainment locations are in the city. We are only a short bus ride from it.

DETAILED INFORMATIOM:
Below is info on taxi and bus links to and from airport and to city centre from Hampton wood.
The best and quickest route to Hampton wood or Chapelizod is to come by taxi. The taxi for HW is less than €20 while the chapelizod taxi fare will be approx €40.
If coming from airport, you do not have to book any taxi from the airport prior to arrival. There is a taxi rank just outside the doors of terminal 1. axi rank just outside the doors of terminal 1. When you approach the guy at the taxi rank ( in hi vis jacket), inform him if you will need to pay by card and he will ensure you have a taxi that accepts cards.
On return to the airport, please book taxi on the app. Freenow. Taxis during daytime hours will be with you in less than 5 mins. Overnight may take 10 min. If seeking a taxi at closing hours for clubs or pubs at weekends you may expect a slight delay of 10 mins. If you are nervous about timelines, It may be best to prebook a taxi which can be selected on the app.
For bus from airport to the city centre, you can use aircoach which accepts cash or online bookings. This a private service to city centre and has set fares.
It is very reliable and is very well run with comfortable clean seating.
For public bus it will take approx 50mins to get here as it us wuth two busses. Please use Go0gle Maps and it will give you the quickest route here. They're are several bus combinations.
However the taxi is almost always the cheapest option to the house and returning.
For public bus use, we require coins or a leap card to use the bus. The leap card can be used for Luas also.
How to use the leap card.
Remember, tap the card when getting on for the bus. Just inside the door of the bus is a small scanner.
Tap on AND off for the luas. The tap stations are at each terminal. You may be fined if you don’t do this before getting on. If you dont do it getting off you will be charged at the maximum daily rate.
Also it is a good idea to download the dublin bus app.
The closest bus stop towards the city from Hampton Wood is just around the corner on the Main Street.
To find it...
When you exit the front door walk right and take the immediate right at this junction. Walk straight ahead about 200meters to the entrance/exit of the housing complex. There are bus stops both to your right and left on your side of the street. Both about 100 meters from you. Both are same route that take you on the 140 bus to the city centre. Get out on Oconnell street for most central point and for the meeting point 'the spire". This is a good starting point for tourists as its the most central area of the city.

The Dublin bus app is very intuitive so you shouldn’t find any issues with it. It gives live time tables of all routes.

Download Googl maps and download Dublin city Map to your phones prior to arrival. That way you will always have a link to an offline map in case you were ever to get lost or your roaming signal is lost.
