Deze plek is te gek! Ik kan mezelf hier gemakkelijk een week opsluiten. En tegelijkertijd ben je (met een taxi) zo in het centrum. De accommodatie is fijn en rustig. Er staat een platenspeler en voor iedere smaak wat wils aan platen. Absoluut een aanrader! Huswell, de tussenpersoon die deze ruimte beheert, vraag heel veel van haar gasten via een online portaal. En communiceren ook erg veel (en snel, wat wel erg prettig is). Om uit te checken willen ze eerst dat je een (uitgebreide) enquete invult, voordat je de instructies krijgt hoe je het huis achter moet laten, met de kanttekening dat minder dan vijf sterren als een belediging wordt gezien. Ik heb hen hierover geappt en ontving de uitleg, die eenvoudig samen te vatten is in: laat de ruimte netjes achter, sluit de deur, en plaats de sleutel terug in het kluisje waar je 'm vandaan hebt. De borg a €300,00 heb ik reeds nog niet terug; dit kan 3 a 4 weken duren, schrijven ze.
I have stayed in plenty of Airbnb’s in Ghent but this one was by far the best. It matched my personality and my needs and I had an absolute fantastic time. Something so serene about it that I immensely enjoy. We will be back

Great space in a quiet neighbourhood. 5-10 minute walk to the tram stop & easy taxi into town as well. Loft space lovely and the decks and vinyl LPs were a winner for this record shop owner! Only minor “negatives” were lack of instructions inside the apartment for using cooker etc. and the lighting was a bit tricky at times, but these were minor gripes against a great space in a beautiful city.

The shops are closed on all other Sundays and public holidays.
You can easily combine your city trip to Ghent with one of the seaside resorts on the Flemish coast. Knokke, Blankenberge and Ostend are a stone's throw away.
