Located just 40 minutes by car from Kyoto and an hour from Osaka, it's relatively easy to access from the major cities in the Kansai area. Explore the town where the 1,200-year-old traditional Japanese industry of Shigaraki-yaki is practiced, and immerse yourself in a unique aspect of Japanese culture. ■ A one-group-per-day exclusive guest house renovated from an old traditional house. ■ Enjoy cooking with Shigaraki-yaki dishes and clay rice pots! ■ A charming ceramic bathroom enveloped in the scent of wood. ■ The property features a large climbing kiln, allowing you to fully enjoy the landscape characteristic of this pottery-producing region. ■ An adjoining shop offers Shigaraki-yaki shopping and pottery experiences. 【About Rates】 ・If used by two or more people, an additional fee of 8,800 yen per person will be charged. ・Preschool children are free. Elementary school children are half-price. Junior high school students and above are charged at the regular rate. *If accompanied by an elementary school student, the displayed rates will differ. We will guide you through the payment with a special offer, so please inquire. 【About Meals】 ・The basic plan does not include meal service, but we do provide locally produced rice and tea. [Free Services] Shigaraki-produced Koshihikari rice (enough for each person), Asamiya Tea/Katagi Kokoen Tea (one pack), and Ogama Blend coffee beans.
Our facility is located in a corner of the "pottery Exploration Route," where numerous pottery workshops are densely packed and the traditional streetscape is preserved. You can stroll through the town's charming atmosphere, with its narrow, winding roads, various pieces of pottery placed here and there, climbing kilns, and brick chimneys scattered throughout the landscape.

Exit at Shigaraki IC on the Shin-Meishin Expressway (approximately 10 minutes)
Exit at Mibuno IC on the Meihan National Highway (approximately 30 minutes)
For those coming by train:
JR Biwako Line to Kusatsu Station
→ Transfer to JR Kusatsu Line to Kibukawa Station
→ Disembark at Shigaraki Station on the SKR Shigaraki Kogen Railway
→ Approximately a 15-minute walk (or 3 minutes by taxi)
