The beautifully fitted, Shaker-style kitchen boasts an electric range cooker that keen cooks will love to try, and you can serve hearty meals in the generously sized dining room. There’s also a handy WC on this floor. More elegant paintwork is evident in the bedrooms on the first floor – a king-size, a double and a bunk-bed room, all of which share the handsome family bathroom. Outside, the enclosed garden is a sun trap for most of the day, and has both a lawn – where your furry friend can chase his tail – and a large patio with dining furniture and a charcoal BBQ. Pick up the coast path at the end of the road, and enjoy fabulous sea views as you walk to Kingsgate Bay, with its year-round, dog-friendly beach, then on to the secluded Dumpton Gap beach, 3.5 miles, another favourite for walkies, fetching and generally stretching paws on the sand. On the way you’ll want to stop for a sweet treat at the famous, 1950s-style Morelli’s Gelato in Broadstairs (2 miles), where canine companions are welcome and the views of Viking Bay are gorgeous.
