The house is beautiful and the village is secluded and quiet. The perfect place for people looking to get away from the masses. Your anywhere on the island within 15-45 minutes. Our favourite beach (Porto Roxa) was only about 20 minutes away. Iona was great and very quick to answer all our questions. A big thanks and we can highly recommend the Villa Callisto!

Villa Callisto si trova in un piccolo paese a 600 m.s.l.m. In una posizione baricentrica che ti permettere di raggiunge gran parte delle spiagge in 35minuti. É un delizioso esempio di recupero di una casa tipica dell’isola;Composta da più edifici racchiusi all’interno di un muro di pietra ,alterna spazi aperti ad edifici in cui elementi del passato raccontano una storia fatta di pozzi e macine in pietra accompagnati dai canti domenicali della chiesa. La famiglia di Ioanna, pur non essendo presente in loco, ha sempre risposto molto velocemente ad ogni nostra domanda o necessità. DA TENERE IN CONSIDERAZIONE -La casa è alta rispetto al livello del mare e ci sono 5-6 gradi in meno rispetto alla costa,spesso la sera tira il vento e non sempre si riesce a stare in giardino (anche in agosto) -La casa si trova all’interno di un piccolo agglomerato di case gran parte delle quali sono disabitate e non c’è nessun tipo di esercizio commerciale questo vuol dire che per comprare il latte o del pane bisogna prendere la macchina e andare al paese più vicino a 12 minuti ASPETTI NEGATIVI -La piscina,nel momento più caldo della giornata, non supera i 22gradi e per noi italiani è decisamente troppo fredda sopratutto per i bambini -il bagno al piano terra non ha pressione e quindi esce poca acqua dalla doccia -la cucina per essendo grande e con tutti gli elettrodomestici non è molto accessoriata di pentole e stoviglie Complessivamente ci siamo trovati bene e possiamo consigliare questa casa!

we had a wonderful stay at this property. it has a local magical feeling, you really feel that you live in an ancient stone built Greek House, but renovated with the comfort you need. the town is pictures, the pool is nice, the grill is a good one, and the island is great. however we did have some minor issues with the house. first of all the water system. we had several issues with shower giving very low water pressure, a faucet that got stuck, a sink which was clogged. another issue is the kitchen which did not include anything such as salt or tea or olive oil, nothing at all. kitchenware was also lacking there were no sharp knives for example and in general the kitchen could be better equipped. All and all, highly recommended but owner should address these issues.

Absolute Weiterempfehlung!!! Das Haus liegt höher in den Bergen, somit nicht so heiss. Vom Flughafen braucht man ca. 20min über sehr kurvige Straßen in das verlassene Dörfchen Gyri. Das Haus is sehr geräumig und es ist alles da was man benötigt.Toller Pool. Es hat eine ideale Lage für Ausflüge da es in der Mitte der Insel liegt. Wir eine Gruppe von 9Personen haben uns sehr sehr wohl gefühlt und bedanken uns sehr herzlich für das Gastgeschenk, Wasser und kleine Törtchen. Wenn wir nochmal kommen sollten, dann wieder in der Villa Callisto
