The apartment is next to two 5 star hotels - and the location explains why. You have the most beautiful balcony over a stunning beach and bay of the Ionian Sea. For a fraction of the cost of staying at one of those 5 star hotels. That made everything worth it. The apartment is huge, clean, and beautiful. It is not easily accessible, but Francesco met us at the parking lot of the gondola and helped us bring our bags down the steps. Make sure you park in the ‘Crupi’ parking at the back - not the gondola parking at the front (much more expensive!) Once you’re in the apartment, plan to not want to leave ever. We didn’t even go back in to Taormina (and liked the apartment better than the white lotus hotel that we snuck a peak at - no beach!)

Fantastic location right by the beach with plenty of good restaurants within a few minutes walk. Balcony gets full on sun for the first half of the day .. great for a coffee in the morning. Apartment has everything you need.

We didn’t end up staying in this Airbnb, we actually stayed in one of their flats downtown. Antonio had reached out in advance as the seas were rough and he thought we would have better luck being closer to the city. The flat he relocated us to was in the perfect location, close to restaurants and shops and the Greek theatre. The host was helpful and responsive and even allowed us to leave our car in extended stay as we wandered the city at check out. Definitely recommend checking out Antonio’s properties.
