大熊湖 · 度假木屋里的独立房间 · 1室2床1.0卫 · 可住1人 · Private suite in Moonridge
Breathe in the fresh mountain air and enjoy the view of Bear Mountain Ski Resort slopes while enjoying your morning coffee outside on the deck among the pines. Spacious private room with en-suite bathroom. Antler Inn offers a flexible floor plan and is perfectly located in Big Bear Lake's Moonridge neighborhood, just a short 5 minute walk to the zoo and shuttle for Bear Mountain Ski Resort, Snow Summit Ski Resort, and the Big Bear Lake Village. The cabin has two floors and the downstairs is the private bed/bath. It is important to note that the downstairs is connected to the upstairs via a spiral staircase. There is not a door, and while very private (it's impossible to see above or below), there is a space that is open. I do have a dog gate to keep the space private. The instant that you make your way up the stairs from the driveway and turn around, you will immediately understand the steepness of the driveway. You’ll find yourself transported to a serene mountain cabin in the middle of nowhere and fully one with the trees. Have a rock in the chairs on the far side of the deck and enjoy the beautiful view of the ski slopes to your left. Once ready, the rustic wood grain deck invites you inside to enjoy the cabin inside. Kitchen: Upon entering the cabin, notice the fully renovated kitchen, complete with quartz countertops, touch activated appliances, and mindful vintage touches throughout. Whether cooking a daily meal or a holiday feast, the kitchen is well appointed with a refrigerator, gas appliances, dishwasher and smaller appliances such as a microwave, toaster, hand mixer, crockpot, and coffee pot. There is even dishware for dining alfresco among the pines under the bistro lights! The cabin is stocked with the staples: coffee, tea, sugar, sugar alternatives, and cream at the counter coffee station and you’ll find spices in the cabinet and condiments in the fridge. Whether for cooking or simply just chatting, a bar height counter with stools is perfectly situated between the kitchen and the living room so you will always be a part of the conversation. An Alexa show device lives above the cabinets for on demand music and can also be used to help with timers while cooking, or any other random information you need a third party to weigh in on. Backyard: The sliding glass door in the dining nook acts as a large looking glass to the rather large fully fenced-in yard where you will notice that there aren’t any neighbors directly behind us, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the mountain life and truly relax! The sprawling three-tier deck is perfect for morning yoga, grilling out among the pines, or just relaxing after a long day around the large table! The deck boasts an outdoor dining table that seats 7, a Weber grill, and a built-in bench, which is perfectly situated to chat with the grill master. When warm enough, we encourage you to opt for dinner alfresco under the blanket of stars and the beautiful bistro lights. Downstairs Bedroom/Game Room: Head back inside and down the recently updated spiral staircase (we re-built this by hand - think of layers of long puzzle pieces) to the second bedroom or what I like to think of as the land of opportunity! You may have noticed the second front door as you walked up the stairs. When snowing, I encourage you to enter through this door to avoid using those slippery steps. You'll notice you are able to prop open the door in the summer months for a beautiful breeze or in the winter make use of the built-in coat hanging rack and bench to get those boots off. Boot trays are offered at the main entrances for you! You'll find a queen-size daybed with a twin trundle, perfect for a couple or a small family. Both mattresses are memory foam. We choose this for the versatility - enjoy the second TV/game room vibe or sleep. There is a 9ft shuffleboard table and a round game table with a cabinet full of board games (Monopoly, jenga, cranium, and more!). An Alexa show hangs on the wall to provide music on demand, and if you need to do some laundry after a long day on the slopes, the machines are here. Finally, an electric fireplace with a remote is always available to keep you cozy. Downstairs Bathroom: One might consider the second bathroom to be EnSite, and it is located at the far end of the room and offers a large shower. We are still decorating and plan to add shelves and a closet, but it has the basics! The Alexa show devices are purely for guest enjoyment. These two devices do not record, cameras are disabled, closed, and have tape over lens.
Nestled in Big Bear Lake's Moonridge neighborhood among the breathtaking pine trees, the location seems to have it all. Antler Inn is walking distance to the zoo, Moonridge Corridor (Dank Donuts and Moonridge Coffee), and the free shuttle for Bear Mountain Ski Resort/Snow Summit Ski Resort/Big Bear Lake Village. Alternatively, you can walk to Bear Mountain Ski Resort and Bear Mountain golf course in 15 minutes. Antler Inn is a 6 minute drive to the lake (swimming, water skiing) and 8 minutes to the Village, making it the perfect location. In fact, Moonridge is one of the few areas in Big Bear Lake where the topography can turn a casual walk into a highlight of the trip, complete with breathtaking views of the lake.
Please note that the driveway is a bit steep. It can be a bit unsettling when you first see it, but take it slow and keep a foot between you and the retaining wall. Enter at a slight angle in line with the retaining wall. We suggest high clearance vehicles, but have seen low clearance make it up fine though on the way down they can scrape a bumper.
There are three ways to access Big Bear Lake - Hwy 330, 38, and 18. Please search for and check the Caltrans map for the most up to date information on road conditions. During weather, chains are required to be carried in your vehicle. Please be sure that you purchase the proper chains for your vehicle's tires.
The 330/18 from Highland is the most direct and thus most popular, which means that it is the busiest and during high season traffic can double or triple this one hour drive. Unfortunately, traffic apps won't always update the appropriate delay until you are well on your way up the hill. During popular travel times (High Season: Fri-Sun), we encourage you to consider an alternative route.
The 38 from Redlands is a bit longer, less steep, and less busy. This is a good alternative and the traffic apps are typically more accurate for this route. During weather, this route can get backed up and we encourage you to check the Caltrans map.
The 18 from the high desert is the longest by mileage, but during weather can be the quickest since only a small portion of the road will be impacted by weather. We encourage this route when it is snowing.
自我介绍
I moved to San Diego in 2014 with my pup, Lux. I cross the border as much as possible for the incredible food and culture, and recently purchased a home in Big Bear Lake to enjoy everything the beautiful mountain town has to offer. In my free time, I can be found outside hiking, climbing, paddling, and exploring. I enjoy connecting with travelers, and would welcome the opportunity to show you what is so special to me in San Diego, Puerto Vallarta, and Big Bear Lake.
