What a TERRIBLE experience! I can not stress enough DO NOT RENT THIS PLACE!!!! BUGS, DIRT, NO HOT WATER AND UNBELIEVABLE SMELL!!! Retro would have been cool, this place should be torn down, it has holes in the ceiling over the beds, in the bathroom and living room. The smell was so unbearable we had to leave early even after trying to air it out etc. After a long day outside it was wonderful to find out there was no hot water to shower. It was beyond dirty. I found bugs on the bedroom floor that looked like cockroaches. STOVE DOES NOT WORK and owner clearly knows it because they put a hot pot in there. I’d like to say that the location made up for any of this BUT IT DID NOT. The owners of the lot we were staying on are having a new home built next door and did not mention it at all. At 7am there was major construction next door that not only woke us up but obstructed our peaceful lake view along with a portable potty in the front yard. I could go on more but you get the poin

Do not rent this place if …. -you plan to have food in the refrigerator -need wifi -are afraid of little ants crawling through the bathroom and bedrooms -don’t need an extra faucet running from the ceiling in the bathroom when it rains -would like to use the lake that is pictured in the photos -you are cleanly and/or allergic to dust -would like to lock the doors -expect to walk on an even surface -are weirded out by spray foam -need any working appliances

Came for funeral. Stayed five days. Quiet and loved the swans. Location good for town and lake. Would stay again.
