Chris and Mary were such warm hosts and really wanted us to have the best experience possible. The cottage was beautifully done and there were lots of great touches that were thoughtful. The views are fantastic and the property is close to some wonderful towns and viewpoints. Though a car is essential, it is well worth the journey. We would love to return!

Chris and Mary helped before we arrived by offering to buy essential groceries ahead of our arrival, since there are no shops close by. The clear guidance on location was also very helpful. We were welcomed by a lovely cup of tea after our journey which was much appreciated. The accommodation was modern, thoughtful and relaxing, with wonderful views of their garden and the surrounding countryside, through the windows in each room. It corresponded with the online description and the standard was very high - one of the very best Airbnb places that we have stayed at over several years. Everything that you might need was provided, and in fact in the information pack, Chris and Mary asked for any helpful suggestions of things that could ever be needed- what a lovely way to improve wherever something might be of help to a visitor. Chris even provided a list of places to go on a wet day- again very thoughtful of him. We could really relax there and would recommend it to anyone.

Chris and Mary were lovely hosts, and Millie the dog is very cute! Accommodation is sort of above and around the garage, and is attached to the main house. Driveway and garden are shared, and the house is quite remote. Beautiful scenery and birdsong. Generous size accommodation. Kitchen with dining table and sofa on ground floor; large bedroom with balcony, bathroom and tv snug upstairs. Everything was very clean, hosts had left out snacks and toiletries. Lots of extra bits like extra blankets, books etc appreciated. Not shown in the photos is the tv, which is a good size and in a very lovely, comfy little room. Kitchen well stocked with utensils, variety of pans, oil, tupperware etc. Due to shared garden, blinds do need to be kept lowered for privacy in some areas, but lying in bed with the doors flung open on a sunny morning is private enough and very restful! Good check in and out times. Would happily return 😊

Hare Cottage was a beautiful stay with Chris and Mary being wonderful hosts. Chris was there to greet us and run through all the main things even though we checked in late at night. The space was very clean with all the necessary amenities. The highlight was the view from the bedroom balcony. It was very private and peaceful and gave a very pleasant countryside feel.
