I almost don’t want to tell how wonderful this place is because I want it to be available every time this is a magical place with so many small touches that make it perfect, from the sound machines to the coffee bar. There are so many comfy beds and sheets games inside and outside. Literally everything you need right on the river. Fireplace was stocked with wood and at the perfect location. There are plenty of towels, and the smokeless fire pit on the deck was amazing with the hot tub. Can’t say more about this place just perfect. The pictures don’t even do it justice, you can even rent kayak from sparrowhawk and they will drive you up drop you off and then you can kayak ride into Chillinois spot!!!! you can DoorDash food from the local restaurants cause it’s so close to everything or you can stop at Dollar General five minutes away and stock the fridge because the kitchen has everything you need. Can’t say more great things about this place definitely will be back.
We had a fantastic time staying at The Brice cabin. It was comfortable and roomy for our family of four. I adored the coffee wall and enjoyed a cup of joe on the vast front porch each morning. The scenery was breathtaking; we saw all kinds of wildlife, including a herd of deer that came through. We had fun canoeing and the kids really enjoyed all the yard games and swinging on the hammocks. Jen was an excellent host: quick to respond and so helpful! Highly recommend. We can’t wait to come back.
We had a wonder vacation at the Chillinois Cabin! Jennifer and Jason are excellent hosts and made everything about our stay easy and enjoyable! The area is absolutely beautiful and Jennifer is very responsive if you have any questions!!
This is my favorite river stay ever! It was the most wonderful family time and we want to come back in the summer! It’s truly a special place and the yard entertained our family for hours. We all appreciated and loved the little nature trail to the lookout point. Once we got to the cabin we didn’t leave as everything we needed was there.
Loved our weekend getaway! It was so peaceful and beautiful! We will definitely be back! ❤️

Together they have worked for a year to renovate two homes and make the 5 acres of Chillinois an amazing retreat. Thier biggest goal for guests at Chillinois is for them to have an amazing space to make memories and connect with each other and with nature. They are not a business entity, but rather a couple with a dream of helping others
