Our Opahi Bay cottage is right on the waterfront and offers an excellent place to relax in peaceful surroundings or kayak or bring your boat and hit the action. A safe swimming beach is just a 30-second walk away, brilliant at high tide but still good 2 or 3 hours on either side of H/T. The kitchenette has essentials like salt, pepper, sugar, mayo, tea bags & plunger coffee. A 2-person canoe, a kayak plus a 2.1M dingy are available. Room to park say a 6M boat in driveway with hose & water. The Bedroom has a great view down the lawn to the magnificent and underrated Mahurangi Harbour. A nice view to wake up to.

Warren’s place was beautiful, right by the beach and set in a lovely garden. It had been tastefully decorated with lots of thoughtful touches. The things left for breakfast was really kind and so were the beach toys left out for my son. Definitely recommended, thank you for having us.
Comfortable enough, magical location for summer stays.
Very comfortable and clean. Good breakfast provided - we bought extra mushrooms and tomatoes. Very helpful communication from owner. No problems at all. If you want an iron and ironing board, there is none there, but Warren will arrange one for you. Lovely quiet beach.
Right on the beach, kids loved it, modern kitchen. Really enjoyed our stay.
An idyllic spot for a relaxing getaway. The studio is well set up and the bay is stunning. Such a good location, within an easy drive of many wonderful spots - though you may not want to leave. Warren & Robyn were the perfect hosts - friendly and available whilst still giving us privacy. Highly recommended.

Opahi Bay is a small quiet neighbourhood. We are at the beach end of the road right next to boat ramp, convenience plus.
We have a double driveway to garage and one driveway space is reserved for the cottage guest.

I am recently retired from running a business with my brother and now I have my second Hip Joint replaced I am hoping to get back to my old active self. The Unit I have on AirBnB in Ponsonby/Herne Bay currently has a long term tenant but from August 2023 the cottage on our property @ Opahi Bay will be available.
