The best AirBNB experience we ever had! We moved to this house for almost a month while waiting for a long term rental to be available. Start with the host: Kevin was very helpful and easy to communicate with - super flexible in check out time and quick response time when we needed him 5/5 stars! The location: safe and beautiful street next to Sandhill road, Stanford University, 280 highway and very easy to bike around to central Menlo Park. The house: the best AirBNB we ever lived in!! beautiful back yard with pool / Jacuzzi (our kids loved jumping in after school!), fire-pit and outdoor furniture / BBQ - was great to host friends and family. The house itself is super convenient with 2 of everything: 2 sets of washer and dryer, 2 dishwashers, 2 ovens - a fully stacked high end kitchen that made making large dinners very easy. Several TVs connected to Apple TV with youtubeTV/Netflix and amazing bedrooms / bathrooms. One bad thing is that now our real home looks bad :-)
West Menlo Park is a classic Silicon Valley neighborhood, with bucolic streets, gracious homes, and proximity to many cool things.
Silicon Valley is not well-known for good public transit, so you'll need to have a car or rely on Uber or Lyft.

I know it's a stereotype here ... but I have a high-tech background and a life-long penchant for real estate. I have my broker's license (though I don't actively buy or sell homes), and that license enables me by CA law to manage other people's properties. I now manage about 55 properties, of which 10 to 25 are available at any time. I'm slowly growing my business, focusing on quality rather than quantity. I pride myself on providing a top-notch white-glove service to both my clients (homeowners) and guests, and I'm slowly building out my team, which includes a guest concierge, a bookkeeper and assistant, a handyman, and several on-demand cleaning crews. I'm a very respectful host -- I love to help guests out with as much information as they need about my place and about things to do, but also give them all the space they want. Communication is key -- in both directions!
