Find public beaches, hiking, and bike trails nearby. Spend the day discovering Shuswap's excellent wineries, cideries, and local artisans. Or just relax and enjoy the view. Indulge in the simple pleasures as you enjoy life at the lake! The Owls Nest A cozy home in the woods just a 5 minute walk to Shuswap Lake. There are two full kitchens that are equipped with everything you'll need to make a delicious meal. Stop for food at the Blind Bay Village Grocer, a 10 minute drive away. The main living space is perfect for playing games or watching a movie on a rainy day. There is a large sofa that is the size of a twin bed when the back cushions are taken off. The downstairs living space has a small pull out couch suitable for children or one adult. Bedroom #1 upstairs - Queen Bedroom #2 upstairs - Double Bedroom #3 downstairs - Queen The upstairs deck includes a BBQ, outdoor dining table, propane fire pit, and outdoor seating The downstairs patio includes a BBQ, outdoor dining table, and a hammock there's a wood fire pit in the yard space and yard games available You'll find the lake access and dock only a five minute walk down the main road. Here, you can launch your kayak, paddle board, canoe, swim, or just lay in the sun. We do share this space with our neighbors on our street. There is parking at the access to bring down your belongings, or if you're uncomfortable walking on the main road. Directions to the lake access will be available in our welcome booklet There are two larger public beaches in the area. One is across from the Welcome to Eagle Bay sign. The other, Shannon Beach is further into Eagle Bay. it has a beautiful mossy trail above it, and tables for a picnic! If you're interested in renting kayaks, paddleboards, e-bikes, jet skis, a boat, etc., we recommend Finz Resort in Blind Bay. **Parking** Our driveway and walkway is quite steep. There are pictures and information about parking in the Check-In instructions. Please review before you arrive so you know what to expect. Winter months - If you don't have a 4wd vehicle, you might have to park at the bottom and walk up to the suite.
