Perfection in every way! I could write pages about how wonderful this place is. Amazing welcome treats, stylish house, fabulous host - Katerina was so thoughtful and helpful, stunning sea and mountain views and a beautiful island. We used the kayaks a lot to go into Kalamos village which took about 7 mins and 7 mins to go to a lovely nearby beach in the opposite direction and about 30 mins to the further town beach with a taverna. It takes about 10-15 mins to walk into the village - a very steep in places walk. We used the jeep a few times to go the the fab taverna on the other side of the island which was our favourite. Some of us went hiking and walking in the hills and mountains. We swam a lot in front of the house ( an minutes walk down a steep path from the house) where you need water shoes to get in and out - the water was very clear and there’s a great shower by the sea there too. Will definitely return.

We stayed at Katerina's for more than two weeks and loved every minute of it. Kalamos is a quiet and tranquil place, with beautiful nature and crystal clear waters. We spent our days swimming and kayaking, hanging out at the house and taking walks in the friendly, authentic village of Kalamos. The outdoor barbeque is great for those who like to cook, and many of our family dinners were made here. Other days we would go down to the village, which has several restaurants by the marina (our favourite was George’s) and also a beach taverna, for long lunches or dinner. There are several nice pebble beaches on the island, one of them a few hundred metres (walking or kayaking) from the house, which we used the most. It is a little difficult to get into the water in front of the house without swimming shoes, but once you’re in swimming here is a very nice and refreshing experience. Katarina was a wonderful host, friendly and very helpful, and we really hope to return here one day. If you need to wind down and relax, this is the perfect spot.

Το σπίτι του Γιάννη και της Κατερίνας είναι ένα πραγματικό διαμάντι καλά κρυμμένο μέσα σε ένα τοπίο εξαιρετικής ομορφιάς. Οι ιδιοκτήτες έχουν σεβαστεί απόλυτα το φυσικό τοπίο, με αποτέλεσμα να χαίρεσαι ταυτόχρονα τις ομορφιές του φυσικού δάσους και της γαλαζοπράσινης θάλασσας του Ιονίου. Η φιλοξενία ήταν άψογη, το σπίτι ήταν στην εντέλεια οργανωμένο και εξαιρετικά καθαρό. Η τοποθεσία σου έδινε τη δυνατότητα με λίγα λεπτά περπάτημα να βρίσκεσαι στο λιμάνι του νησιού, το οποίο επίσης μπορούσες να προσεγγίσεις από την ιδιωτική παραλία με τα κανό που παρέχουν οι ιδιοκτήτες. Αν αυτό που αναζητάς είναι να βρίσκεσαι μέσα στη φύση και ταυτόχρονα να μην στερείσαι καμία άνεση τότε το συγκεκριμένο σπίτι αποτελεί την ιδανική επιλογή. Μακάρι να μπορούσαμε να μείνουμε περισσότερες ημέρες !

Katerina is an excellent host, picking us up from the port and dropping us off at the end of our stay. Communication with her was near instant and clear and she made the experience very easy and straight forward. The house is gorgeous, spacious, clean and very well decorated, it is in front of the sea and has access to a small private beach. It is a 5-10 minute walk from the village/port and also has a another good beach close by which is around a 10 minute walk. Overall we had a relaxing and comfortable stay, would book again if we go back to Kalamos island.
