Great stay very peaceful area
Good access to the boat ramp. Short enough drive people can stay in the boat.
The queen bed in the bedroom was rock hard. Very uncomfortable. The address via gps DOES NOT take you to the actual airbnb. No signage from the road. No instructions about entering through the back garage door. Sliding back door was left totally unlocked upon arrival. It does not have central heating and air. There is a mini split above the doorway that threw error codes. The porch covering made of canvas was obnoxious in the wind. Bad idea.
This home is adorable and exactly what we needed. The kitchen was well stocked and the host even put out New Year's goodies and champagne for us - which was a nice touch! The entire place was very clean and offered plenty of towels, toiletries, and all the comforts a guest would need. The host, Jeffrey, was super responsive and friendly. We would definitely stay here again!
We grew up in Murphysboro and this place was absolutely perfect for our holiday visit. It was super clean, comfy, well stocked, family and pet friendly. I love that you could pull right into your own garage and unload when it was raining. We saw a beautiful egret by the water and a family of deer each morning. If you travel with a pet, it is a pretty, quiet neighborhood to walk your pet through. It’s only a few minutes into town, we loved the location and hope to return.
