The Neighborhood 
In the immediate village, there are 4 km of private beaches and marina coastline with stunning views of the mountains, the mangrove forest canal, and the sea. 2 km along the coastline are sandy beaches great for swimming and soaking up the sun. In the immediate area there are 4 different beaches to choose from, Chang Noi Beach (biggest), Half Moon Beach, Pebble Beach, Coral Beach. 
Directly on the largest beach, there is a fully equipped Beach Club with activities sure to fit everyone’s interests. Activities include, an olympic sized swimming pool, a dedicated children's outdoor play area, a “jungle” style gym for exercise, sauna steam room, beachfront massage sala, beach lounge furniture/hammocks, fishing on the pier, SUP/kayak/fishing rod rental, a restaurant with an outdoor bar, and an outdoor poolside cinema for kids during high season. You will also have access to a classy cocktail lounge with a swimming pool on the beach. There is an additional beachfront family style restaurant at the nearby boutique hotel. In addition to the two pools already mentioned, there is a rooftop 30M swimming pool above the marina canal with a lovely view.

Your villa will be located in a luxury private neighborhood in the Klong Son district. This area of the island has a reputation for being authentic, quiet, and relaxing. The neighborhood is about 2 km from the ferry pier (about 5 minute drive). Public taxis will be waiting at the pier and can transport you directly to the Utalay Koh Chang Villas meeting point.  
Once guests have arrived at their villa, we highly recommend renting a motorbike/car or using taxi services to get around the island. We would be happy to assist in providing motorbike car rentals or taxi pick ups upon your request. Each villa has street parking directly in front of the entrance for guest convenience. The closest PTT fuel station is conveniently located 1 km away from the neighborhood. 
The nearest 7/11 is 1 km from the village and there are a variety of stores further into the center of the Klong Son area. 7/11 is open 24 hours! During the daytime, they have free delivery with the 7/11 app. In the Klong Son village you will have access to stores and markets where you can purchase street food, cooking ingredients, groceries, charcoal, and other essentials for your stay. In this area, guests can find a variety of restaurants featuring Thai and Western cuisines. 
The district of Klong Son has much to offer and our team is happy to help guests discover the best activities for them. 
WATERFALL
Aside from the multiple beaches located directly around the villa neighborhood where guests can participate in a variety of water activities, there is also a waterfall tucked deep in the jungle. Here guests can hike through the natural beauty of the jungle and enjoy the crystal clear river running to the sea.
ELEPHANT CAMP
In Thai language Koh Chang means “Elephant Island”. The island was named so because, from a distance, the mountain tops look like a group of elephants walking. On the island there are multiple places where travelers can see and interact with elephants. The closest elephant camp is a quick 10 minute drive from the villa neighborhood. Visitors can feed elephants their favorite snacks, assist in giving the elephants a bath to cool off, and learn more about these incredible animals with a variety of other activities. 
STREET FOOD MARKET
For those who like to try authentic local food, in the early morning and evening you can find delicious street food prepared by local vendors in the center of the Klong Son village. Each day you can experience new types of food and get to know some of Koh Chang’s locals. 
RESTAURANTS 
In the Klong Son village area there are a variety of restaurants including delicious Thai restaurants that are a must try and are specifically sought out by international travel food bloggers. There are also restaurants offering a large variety of Western cuisines including a pizza restaurant with hand made dough cooked in a brick oven. 
TEMPLES 
Within 3 km of the villa neighborhood, there are two magnificent temples where travelers are welcome to visit. The first is a grand Chinese style temple overlooking the sea. The second is a stunning Thai temple located among mangrove trees, the ocean bay, and is near a quaint floating fishing village. 
OTHER ATTRACTIONS 
To reach other shopping, food markets, and nightlife; White Sand Beach is around a 6 km trip
