Your stay in Baltac means you are a short walk to one of the best private beaches on the lake, where you can have access to my private boat buoy and the private community boat launch.
World class biking and hiking trails are all around you, many out the front door. There are 11 golf courses within a half hour drive. There is also a really fun zip line park just up the road, and mini golf and go-carting the other way. And don’t forget all the places you can paddle or kayak.
Valley Alley is a retro five pin bowling alley just steps away and a great choice for groups and families. Fairmont and Radium Hot Springs are also open year round.
In the winter, Panorama Mountain Resort is just 25 km away for skiing, snowboarding, and outdoor spas and pools. The worlds longest skating path (34 km) called The Whiteway is cleared on the lake each winter for added fun skating and cross country skiing.
Invermere is a quaint town with cute shops and galleries, perfect for a stroll with a coffee from Stolen Church or a donut from The Invermere Bakery. For avid readers like me, local library is brilliant and another great choice any day. Valley Fitness Centre, is a great gym with drop in rates and on weekends you can go to the local school and try out the climbing wall.
Sit on the patio at The Station Pub for great food while looking out over the water. Or head to Ullr Bar (Viking God of Snow) for great food and good times.
There really is something for everyone.
