Enjoy waking up to birdsong and listening to ruru at night. This spot is perfect for the hiker planning to do the Escarpment Track, the family holidaying at the beach, or the travelling business person that needs a spot to work. Situated a 6 minute walk to the station and a 35 minute train ride to Wellington City, life is pretty laid back here. Pull on in! The garden flat is divided into two rooms and a bathroom, which is the downstairs section of our family home. It is private and has no access from the main house. With two double beds in separate rooms (and offering a single floor mattress and porta-cot option for small kids on request) the garden flat is suitable for a maximum of four people. The space consists of a bedroom with a double bed, couch, TV and en suite bathroom, and a second bedroom with a double bed and mini kitchenette for making coffee and tea and warming up ready made meals. There are no cooking or washing facilities. Please note that guests staying in the second bedroom will have to enter the main bedroom to use the en suite bathroom, making this accommodation most suitable for families.

We were looking for somewhere peaceful and relaxing to stay as we were flying in from overseas to visit a sick relative. Megan’s flat is wonderful - everything you need for a relaxing break (excellent Wi-Fi, Netflix, comfy bed, great shower, lovely green views, 10 minutes to the sea and a great coffee shop, quality shower gel / shampoo / conditioner provided). We really appreciated the warm welcome, flexibility and care provided by both Megan and Matt who were happy for us to drop off our cases when we arrived earlier than expected, provided fresh towels during our stay and allowed our niece to stay with us overnight. This will definitely be our first choice when we are next in NZ!
For our one-night stay, the accommodation was suitable, clean, and safe. It’s worth noting that the single bathroom’s access through one of the bedrooms could potentially inconvenience those sleeping in the other room, as they would need to walk by. Additionally, one of the bedrooms being in the living room and the other in the kitchen may not provide the expected privacy for all guests.
Is a quiet place with 2 double beds, but bathroom access for all guest is next to one of the beds. Has nice facilities, under a young family upstairs. Had good heating, nice kitchen but no kitchen sink
Megan's BnB was more spacious then the pictures portray. It was very clean and comfortable. Even though there was no kitchen per se, there were plenty of plates, glasses, a toaster etc which meant we could have snacks and breakfasts no trouble at all. Great water pressure in the shower too. It was great being right at the end of the Escarpment Track and also close to the train station. Megan was very responsive and accommodating. We'll definitely be back.

Pukerua Bay is a quiet village for those that appreciate nature.
The dairy, beach and train station are within walking distance. Closest shop is New World - hop off at the Mana Station. There you will also find restaurants, coffee and takeaway food.
