We have stayed here many times and will be back. Michael is so kind and caring. He makes you feel welcome. He also does a wonderful job maintaining the place as well.

We needed a place to stay to get close enough to the eclipse totality. It worked out just perfect. from Michael’s place to Lake Wappapello. State park was an hour and a half drive. We slept at Michael’s place the night before and the night of the eclipse. We enjoyed the quiet and not being tied to the Internet during our stay. Jolaine Zweifel.

Come for the art, stay for the muffins... Cabin is very remote, quiet and peaceful. Michael is a great host, prepare to be blown away by his artwork on display throughout the property. This is "roughin' it" for wimps like me who require air conditioning and indoor plumbing. Highly recommend!

The rustic but comfortable, well-appointed cabin provided a perfect, self-styled writing retreat, with no distractions, peaceful surroundings, and long lovely roads for walking. Michael was a great host, making sure I had all that I needed but giving me enough space to do my own thing. Highly recommend!
