No 5 is a well equipped modern apartment which is very well positioned in the town. The train station, bus station and the Coop are on the doorstep and the beach and other shops are only a short walk away. There are a few steps up to no 5 but we knew this in advance and it wasn’t a problem for us. There is secure, off road parking which is a massive bonus in Whitby. We did struggle initially to gain access to the carpark but this was resolved with a quick phone call. We needed to use the keypad is on the pedestrian side access gate (not the one on the garage gates). You then can open the garage gates manually from inside. There is a smart tv in the sitting room and views of the abbey from the Juliette balcony. Towels are provided and there is a hairdryer in one of the upstairs bathrooms. Really happy with our choice which was made last minute when we had to move out of our own home whilst it was being re wired. We would recommend no 5 as a comfortable, most pleasant stay.
