Awesome place to stay. Right on the beach, great snorkelling and swimming at your doorstep. Practical and comfy layout and ideal for the two of us. Nice and private and within walking distance from some of the best restaurants on the island. Would very much recommend Papa John's

Papa John’s is perfect for a couple looking for a romantic holiday or anyone who loves snorkelling and having the beach as their front yard!

Unfortunately my stay at Papa John’s did not go as expected and I decided to leave after one night of being there. This was very upsetting and unexpected considering all of the fabulous reviews. Don’t get me wrong, the location is absolutely beautiful, beachfront and private. However, the bedding was visibly marked and stained, the room was very, very hot and there is no fly wire on the doors so it’s hard to let the breeze in. The room also had a stale cigarette smell when I was there that was probably slightly amplified by the heat, for non-smokers visiting this is just something to keep in mind. I was also unable to get any hot water. During the night somebody tried to break in, as I was travelling solo I decided to leave and find elsewhere due to safety concerns and the above issues. Rauru and Ronnie were responsive hosts. It’s a shame my visit turned out this way!

Loved my stay at Papa Johns! It’s a great little cabin exactly as shown in the photos - compact and well laid out to maximise the space, opening onto a great deck and only a few meters to the beach. Good swimming and snorkeling just out front, on the bus route, next door to a shop for the basics and a short walk to Charlies! Would highly recommend.

I will be back! Perfect spot in the perfect location. An easy walk to Muri and metres away from Charlie’s, yet feels a million miles away from everything. Convenient having the shop two doors down too
