The Good: Absolutely incredible location at the base of the Castle and on the GrassMarket. You can walk to all the hottest spots from this location, which is why we stayed here. Michelle is an absolute Joy to communicate with, she is very responsive and made the check in/out process a breeze. Challenges: Old bedding, lumpy mattresses and terrible pillows that make a good night sleep pretty challenging. I wish this would have been addressed as many people have mentioned it. You do hear everything that happens outside the flat even though you are on the fourth/third floor. Something to weigh based on your needs. Info: The three to four flights of circular steps to get to the flat would pose a significant challenge to people with mobility issues, or if you have a lot of luggage. Edinburgh itself may not be the place for people who have trouble walking and climbing steps. Parking across the square at the Apex Hotel is ~35/day. Spacious apartment with comfy beds, very clean, great communication and flexibility from Michelle. The location was very central with great views over the Grassmarket.

This was an ideal location to be able to walk to much of the city centre. Grassmarket square was outside the door, with good places to eat and with good views of the Castle. The flat had plenty of space in most rooms and the beds were comfortable. It would benefit from some updating.

Thanks Michelle for having us. The place couldn't have been better located and parking wasn't as issue as well. The place was neat and clean. And the kitchen was decently stocked. A great place for a 2 night stay in Edinburgh
