A perfect romantic getaway! This newly-remodeled, comfy farm cottage is located on the banks of the North Fork of the Holston River. One bedroom with a queen-sized bed, living room, kitchen and dining area, and a lovely south-facing porch. The cottage is located on our 76 acre family farm. You'll be nestled in the midst of our Christmas tree plantation. The cottage has a nice living room space with a large flat screen TV with DVD player (no cable or satellite tv). The combined full kitchen and dining area contains an electric range and oven, microwave, fridge and freezer for guests to use. The master bedroom boasts a comfy queen bed and master bathroom with a walk-in jetted tub. The covered front porch of the cottage has chairs for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful view.

This is a beautiful, well kept farm in the Appalachian mountains of SW Va. The cottage is really nice and comfortable, the scenery is unbelievable. restful, comfortable and private. I really hope to go back soon. The host was great and responsive. the food was great too. I usually find something wrong - not this time. I cancelled one day plans so I could stay on the farm and enjoy the mountains.
Fantastic property. Lovely property in the woods. Completely quiet and peaceful. Nathaniel was very helpful from the beginning and was a joy to work with. We would highly recommend renting this cottage!
We booked Nathaniel’s Airbnb for a birthday weekend and it was awesome! The place was so clean and all the extra touches like snacks, coffee, and breakfast food were so thoughtful and appreciated. The place was easy to get to and Nathaniel was super responsive and helpful throughout the whole trip.

A delightful peaceful cottage! We loved the heated bathroom floor! The breakfast items in the refrigerator were a nice added touch. It was just enough. Thanks for a great place to stay. We will be back!

We are literally on the banks of the North Fork of the Holston River. Off the beaten path, but within 20 minutes of downtown Abingdon, our farm is accessed by a half mile gravel road (it is a well maintained road and is easily traversed by 2-wheel drive vehicles). There are a couple of great swimming holes, and excellent tubing and fishing. Hidden Valley Lake and Wildlife Management Area, which offers hiking, boating and fishing, is just a few miles away. Fifteen miles away is The Channels, a majestic sandstone formation that is over 400-million years old. The Pinnacle Natural Area Reserve is also very close and quite spectacular. The town of Abingdon (10 miles away) is a great town with excellent food, good live music, a brewery, hard cider company, winery, The Barter Theater (the state theater of Virginia!), biking and walking trails, festivals, and much more. Abingdon's tourism department has a great website with tons of information about local attractions and things to do.
We have free onsite parking on the farm. There are not good public transportation options in our area.
