With happy guests so far, I would like to host you as well! It’s a quiet area close to nature, and you have direct access to a nice park area with a track. The cosy apartment, 40 square meters, is situated in the basement floor. You have it all by yourself, with your own entrance. The flat is decorated as if someone actually lived there. A part of the garden is available for guests, where you can enjoy the view to the mountains as well as to the fjord. I can suggest nice hikes!

È stato un soggiorno veramente piacevole quello trascorso da Gunn. Lei è una host veramente cordiale e in grado di dare tantissime informazioni sulla città e sulle cose da fare. La sua casa è incantevole, curata nei minimi dettagli e molto ospitale. Trovate tutto quello che vi serve. Consiglio questo soggiorno a tutti perché vi troverete sicuramente tanto bene e vi circondete di tanta bellezza.
We really enjoyed our stay at Gunn’s place. It was really homely and cute. She was a great host who gave us really useful recommendations. The outside space is great for having breakfast or a cup of tea. Whilst staying there, we enjoyed walking and running on the track behind her house. We also walked to the waterfall which was not for the faint hearted (if wimpy brits like us). Her place is cosy and not overly spacious. It may have felt like this because we used both sleeping areas and one of us was sleeping in the area that included the kitchen. Limited choice for eating out. Great cafe in main square. However, it was a nice feeling to be off the beaten track. Overall a great stay and would highly recommend. 5* from us!
We had a peaceful and cozy stay at Gunn’s adorable home. The apartment has everything you need for a comfortable stay with beautiful views and a garden to enjoy. Gunn is so wonderfully friendly, helpful, and accommodating. She suggested a hike to the nearby waterfall which was a highlight of our trip! We felt very welcomed and even got to enjoy a quick hello from her sweet dog, Melis. I felt comfortable asking Gunn anything about the accommodations and the area as we were always met with kind words and a smile.

The village Sandane is located in Gloppen, Nordfjord, which is one of the famous fjords at the west coast of Norway. This beautiful village has a population of 2,500 and is surrounded by mountains. It’s perfect for tourists who want to explore nature and culture locally, but also for those who like travelling to more exotic destinations, for everything is within a distance of 2-3 hours. You’ll find blue glaciers surrounding green valleys like Briksdal Glacier. Or what about glittering fjord and vast sea? Take a trip westwards and visit Vestkapp, or Kråkenes Lighthouse.
From our house to the center of Sandane is a 20 minutes walk, or 3-4 minutes by car. Free parking everywhere. There are a bank, health center and several groceries and other stores.
We recommend Gloppen hotel where you can experience the best of Norwegian cuisine. The newly opened Lauget kafe has a relaxed atmosphere and is a very popular place to spend an hour or two. Do you like museums? Visit Nordfjord folkemuseum!
At the fjordside you’ll find a beach, perfect on sunny days! It’s possible to take a closer look at the newly built viking ship there.
Several of the mountains are quite steep, but there arE private forest roads some kilometers uphill for cars. The cost is usually NKr 60,- Where these roads end, marked and unmarked paths lead you even further. The most spectacular experiences can be found there.
Sandane airport is 15 minutes away by car. It's possible to rent a car at the airport. Bus connections to Måløy, Bergen, Trondheim, Oslo and more.
