Sv. Vid is a quiet residential neighbourhood with family houses in rows and plenty of green scenery. The neighbourhood has a bakery, bar and pizzeria at hand, and although authentic to the real local experience, they will most likely not satisfy the foodie in you. If looking for a more special morning snack, take a 10 min walk to the central Carrera street and find Augusto, a tiny specialty coffee shop. Nearby, you may want to dig into freshly baked brioche at Breški's bakery or go for a wider selection of sweets and snacks at Concettino. Once in Carrera, you are a few minutes away from the town green market and fishery, or as locals call it "merkat". There you can find the freshest local produce every morning (it's best to visit before noon).
If your grocery list is quite long, your best shot will be to get back into the neighbourhood and go shopping in one of the many supermarkets nearby - Lidl, Plodine and Konzum are 1-minute-short car drive from the apartment.

As parking spots in the old town centre tend to get quite difficult to find during the high season, I recommend taking a walk or a bicycle ride instead. Rovinj downtown is easily accessible by foot via Istarska street and everything important is within a 15 min walk range.
Going to the beach may require a 4-wheeled mean of transportation depending on the bay you fancy, but be aware that parking is limited so oftentimes it's better to rent bikes and ride them instead.
Rovinj is a small town and has no need of its own public transportation within the city. But it is well connected with bus lines that can take you to neighbouring Istrian cities - Pula, Poreč, Vrsar, etc.
