Sleep under the Montana stars like a true pioneer, but with all the comforts of home! The P-7 Base Camp is a peaceful retreat on 43 acres in the beautiful Potomac Valley 20 minutes from downtown Missoula. Sip your morning coffee from the driver’s seat of the luxurious wagon while watching the sun rise, and relax by the campfire after a day of hiking, biking, fishing, floating the Blackfoot River, exploring a nearby ghost town, or catching a concert at the acclaimed Kettlehouse Amphitheatre. Our 25 foot wagon is comfortably equipped with heat, air conditioning, electricity, a king sized bed, twin bunkbeds, table with two chairs, coffee station, mini fridge, Adirondack chairs, and a picnic table. A brand new bath house provides two bathrooms with hot showers and flush toilets, as well as a community kitchen equipped with a BBQ, microwave, toaster oven, toaster, and all the amenities for an alfresco meal. Guests can enjoy a campfire at the community campfire, as well as cornhole and ladderball games. Cards and board games are available as well.

Amazing stay! Wish we could of stayed longer. My family was passing through very late on a 24 hour road trip. Glad I came across this stay. Sherry was very attentive, and able to accommodate us on our late night short stay. The property was beautiful! The wagon cabin was incredible. So clean, and cozy. My little family loved it, and were so happy to get the experience. Sherry was a great host. What a magical, peaceful place. Thank you!

this little wagon was a perfect little getaway for my husband and I. the scenery was gorgeous with the open sky and stars at night, and in the morning you were greeted by the horses and a very sweet dog. the wagon was comfortable and spacious.
We had a great time! The area was beautiful, the wagon was so much fun to stay in, everything was super clean, we had a great time playing yard games and sitting around the fire, and Sherry was a great host!
Surprised my boyfriend with the Saphire wagon for his birthday and this exceeded my expectations! They had all of the amenities that you would need. SUPER clean spaces and bath houses. All located on beautiful property surrounded by mountains. Sherry and Ron were excellent hosts, always there for us if needed. Thank you for making this a memorable birthday weekend! Already planning on our next visit with the family!! 10/10

The Potomac Valley is truly one of the last, best places, and one of the least discovered areas in Western Montana. You can access all that Missoula has to offer (a lovely downtown with a variety of events, great restaurants, and lively bars, the University of Montana, dozens of gorgeous hiking trails, museums, art galleries, and great shopping) in a scenic 20 minute drive from the property. In 10 minutes you can be floating, kayaking, or trout fishing the acclaimed Blackfoot River. You can be boating or paddle boarding one of the many lakes surrounding us, or hiking to Morrell Falls in just 35 minutes. The Lubrecht Forest, with its miles of dog-friendly trails, is 10 minutes from us. Garnet Ghost Town is just a short, scenic drive up the mountain from us. You can catch a concert at the acclaimed Kettlehouse Amphitheatre and be in your comfortable bed with a fluffy down comforter in the wagon 15 minutes later. Fill your days hiking, biking, fishing, or floating the river, or simply relax with a good book in the shade and enjoy the view.
There is ample parking on site for your car and various toys. There is no public transportation in the area, so a car is a necessity.

We’re Sherry & Ron and we’re so excited to welcome you to our new camp! I was previously the Mistress of Discipline (aka, elementary school principal), and Ron was an Aerospace Contractor, until we decided to escape the rat race and return to our home state of Montana. This property has been such a wonderful place for our friends and family to gather that we wanted to share it with new friends. We hope you love the P-7 Base Camp as much as we do!
