Joel was the perfect host: courteous, friendly, and always helpful with a suggestion or even a ride. The room was clean, quiet, and pleasant. It comes with its own fridge. The mattress is truly exceptional. I slept very well at Joel's. I had access to the rest of the beautiful apartment.

My stay at this Airbnb was absolutely fantastic! From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and at home. The apartment itself was lovely. It was beautifully decorated, impeccably clean, and had all the amenities I could possibly need. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the space, from the cozy bedding to the fully stocked kitchen. Whether I was wandering through charming streets or dining at local restaurants, everything was just steps away from the apartment. Joel and his partner were exceptional hosts, providing me with helpful recommendations and ensuring that I had everything I needed throughout my stay. Their warmth and hospitality truly made my experience memorable. Can't recommend it enough!

My stay with Joel was more than pleasant !! I came to Chicago for studies and booked Joel's room for my first two weeks while looking for a permanent residence. Shortly after my arrival, Joel kindly suggested we go for dinner together. Afterward, he showed me around the Hyde Park area and described life in Chicago. He was always available through the app and as a roommate to provide for my needs as a tenant in his home. Examples of his hospitality are his willingness to ask his friends about the availability of a house for me to stay in and his thoughtfulness in sharing his supplies when I was sick for a few days. Overall, I felt more like staying with a friend, as I enjoyed my privacy in a beautiful and fully equipped home. Joel is an exemplary host, and if you plan to visit Chicago, Joel's apartment is something I would highly recommend.

Joel’s place is so much better than shown on the pictures! The house is spacious, neat, comfortable and charmingly decorated. Joel is very polite, patient, sociable and well educated, definitely that type of person that anyone would like to grab a beer with and just chat for hours! The neighbourhood is entirely residential, so there is no much to do around but there is a train station that I didn’t use but it is there - not close to downtown tho. Recommended ;D
