Beautiful home, communication was great threw out stay. Few minutes away from beach. Gas station near home was great for minor items. (I forgot milk which they had available) Other places to eat or visit were a 15-20 min drive. Not too far. I did get warning of mosquitoes, which were a pain. Only thing I can complain about was the flooring. It was uneven in certain areas which was odd. Other than that place was great. Even came with board games to play, puzzles and books to read. Would definitely stay again.

This was the perfect place to stay for our anniversary get away! We’re photographers so we had to check out the bird sanctuary nearby. My only complaint (which is completely out of the hosts hands) is the amount of mosquitoes! Which makes sense because of how close it is to the sanctuary. However, they were gracious enough to provide bug spray that came in very handy during our trip to the sanctuary! I would absolutely stay here again. Very quiet and plenty of room. The neighbors were nice as well.

Perfect stay in High Island for walkable birding at all bird sanctuaries. This house is easy to find and access; matches the listed description and includes all the essentials for an enjoyable stay. Host is communicative and helpful. We’d love to stay again for next year’s Spring migration!
