The house is conveniently located in a quiet area, at the end of a cul-de-sac street with no passers-by. It is 5min walking distance from the local supermarket (Daglig Brugsen), 7min to the beach and 15min to Kulhuse harbour. The North Forest (Nord Skov) car be reached by bike or on foot during a longer walk.
The local beach has very shallow waters and is a combination of sand and stone, which makes it child friendly and fun to explore. Kids love fishing for crabs, shrimps, small fish and the star fish from the little pier.
In Kulhuse harbour one can enjoy a pizza or an ice-cream from the local pizzeria/cafe' during summer months. Next to the harbour there is a lovely EU Blue flag sandy beach with good bathing options. A local celebrity, the ferry Columbus, runs every 15min between 1st April and 22d October and is ready to transport you, your bike and your car over to Sølager. We highly recommend to take this journey to explore Lynæs harbour with its variety of restaurants, cafes, kids playground and a surf centre with its hip beach cafe'. Travel a a bit further along the cost to visit Hundested harbour. Continue along to Knud Rasmussen's museum to learn about the famous Danish Arctic explorer and to admire the steep shores of North Zealand.
The area offers multitude of trekking and biking possibilities. The North Forest is an absolute gem in any season and weather. It is a home to 3 amazing giant oaks with the oldest dating back around 2000 years ago. Cycle all the way from Kulhuse either through the forest or along a newly built bike track to a cozy town, Jægerspris. Here you can find 3 large supermarkets, cafes and ice-cream shops. Don't miss visiting Jægerspris castle park and feed the ducks in its little pond.

There is also bus line 316 that runs between Frederiksund and Kulhuse harbour.
