The old town is the epicenter of all city events. Tourist, cultural and business manifestations and festivals are generally chosen as hosts by the Old Town, both because of the position of the municipality itself and because of the heritage that is located on its surface. The most famous Belgrade historical monuments are located in this municipality. The Belgrade fortress is certainly the most famous among them. In addition, it is the oldest preserved monument complex in Belgrade.
There is Skadarlija, a bohemian quarter with great restaurants, old-town music and cobbled streets. No citizen of Belgrade fails to bring a guest and treat him to one of her bars. Dorćol is a favorite part of the city for young people to drink afternoon coffee in cafeterias with a few tables, good coffee and a local team that is the trademark of this part of the city. In addition, the most famous bars and clubs are located in the streets of Strahinjića Ban, Cetinjska, and Gospodar Jervemova. Special meeting places are also three vencas: Obilićev, Kosančićev and Topličin with various concept stores and bars.

Given that the Old Town includes the center of Belgrade, it is clear that there are no problems with connectivity. Almost all trolley lines in Belgrade depart from Student Square. Numbers 19, 21, 22, 28, 29 and 41 provide good connections with other city municipalities. Bus 31 departs from Studentski trg, and 27, 27E, 32E and 96 run from Republic Square, and it is important to point out that numerous night buses depart from there.
