The apartment features old stone walls with the beautiful ceilings and balconies and the building has a beautiful old facade. This duplex apartment has stairs taking you up to the second floor where you can find the lounge, with high vaulted Catalan ceilings, a balcony with a small table and two chairs, a guest toilet, dining area with seats for 6 and kitchen. There are stairs to take you to the first floor, there you have a double bedroom with dressing room, a single bedroom with a pull-out...

Great property in a phenomenal location. Hosts were proactive with all communications, and the check-in process could not be simpler. If you are accustomed to busy city center living, with all it's attendant energy & sound, you will be delighted by this high quality flat. If, however, you prefer quieter & more peaceful surroundings, this may not be the property for you with the downstairs restaurant closing at 0030 most nights. Personally it wasn't a bother for me, but I can see how some would not enjoy their quality of sleep as a resulst. Barri Vell is a phenomenal area to be based out of, and the abundance & quality of options around every corner is world class, with nature just a short 10 minute walk outside the city walls for those who enjoy hiking/trail running. Special mentions for Espresso Mafia & La Fabrica, which are both within a 5 minute walk - if you love coffee & cafe culture, these two spots are by far the finest in Girona!
The flat was very clean and spacious. Check in was easy and efficient. Checkout was listed at 11:00 and the cleaner came at 10:00 insisting that it was her time to come in and our time to leave so we left in a bit of a rush. The kitchen is a little understocked, missing simple things like cutting boards and oven trays. This place is not very bike friendly - I wish we knew this before but we made do. The lift is tiny, too tiny to hold a bike vertically and definitely not big enough for a bike box. While the flat is on the first floor, there are A LOT of windy steps to get to it. Also the street can be quite noisy, especially when the rubbish is collected after midnight every night right outside the bedroom window. We struggled to sleep the first night but then found the fan and that is great to drown out the noise. Also the main front door doesn’t lock upon closing the latch so while people close it, anybody from the street can get in so didn’t feel the most secure.
Great location right in the heart of town. The host was very responsive. The beds aren't the most comfortable, but overall a good place to stay.
Si quieres estar super cerca de todo, en pleno barrio viejo, pero también quieres descansar, es un lugar ideal. Nos quedamos boca abierta por la buena insonorización que tiene el piso. Habiendo un bar muy concurrido (y muy bonito) debajo, cuando cierras la ventana, no se escucha ningún ruido. El apartamento cómodo por demás! Acondicionado para vivir, más que para unos días. Digno de poder quedarse sin problemas mucho tiempo en el. Check in y check out facilísimo!
