Firstly Bernard was hands down the perfect host, communication was spot on and he even picked us up at the train. I don't want to set him up for this, but it was a nice surprise. We joined in Brugges for my friend's 60th bday surprise and he had champagne waiting in fridge. Again please dont expect this, but it was an amazing gesture...He was also very flexible about arrival and departure rides. Let's call Bernard, relaxed.We like to cook and unfortunately there was only a microwave, not an oven. But Bernard simply let us use theirs. I am not shy so this wasn't a problem. But if you like to cook, only be prepared to cook things you can do on a stove top. The place is cozier and more charming than the pictures. The chimney was one of the reasons we accepted to pay a higher price than we normalky pay and it was so worth it. Not to mention the location. You are just 10 mns to the main tourist square in such a quaint part of old Town. Thanks for everything Bernard!

What a super find. A great place to stay in its own right, but to find such a place just a few minutes walk from the centre of Bruges is amazing. The detached, converted old coach house is situated at the bottom of the hosts’ walled garden. That is attractive enough, but then to walk through the coach house and look out the back is stunning. There is a large private terrace which overlooks a small canal to the park beyond. The photos don’t really do justice to the beauty of the setting. The property and lockup parking were easy to find; the instructions might sound complicated but they are actually easy to follow. Wifi worked well, central heating was easy to control. Lots of goodies eg eggs, loads of different teabags, generous supply of coffee capsules etc. etc. This is a quirky, characterful, quiet property. Bernard is a super host. I’d love to come back in the warmer weather and sit on the terrace sipping wine.

Trés beau logement proche du centre ville. Une belle cheminée ideale pour l’hiver. Communication avec Bernard agreable et reactive. Logement à recommander !

This is an absolutely fantastic mini-house in a beautiful location. At the end of Bernard's garden, overlooking a canal and park, with its own separate entrance, it is so private and peaceful you could be miles from anywhere... but you're just a short stroll to the very centre of medieval Bruges. The rooms are really spacious and comfortable, there's a good kitchen with great coffee and other basics, there's a fantastic log fire, and there's even a good selection of Belgian beers in the cupboard (honesty box style). There's a great bakery nearby and a supermarket and pizzeria if you're eating in, and no shortage of restaurants if you're eating out. And the reserved parking is super handy if you need it (10 euros a night). Bernard and his wife could not have been friendlier or made us more welcome - we'd love to go back!
