Relax with the whole family at this peaceful haven. Enjoy the spectacular Kowie River views from the time you arrive, and wake up to the sound of birds and a view of the Kowie River. We are centrally situated in this Gem of the Eastern Cape, halfway between Port Elizabeth and East London, aptly named The Sunshine Coast. Port Alfred offers stunning beaches , top notch coffee shops and family restaurants . Take a kayak up the beautiful Kowie River or book a sunrise/ sunset Barge Cruise. The spectacular view of the Kowie River from every angle of this property, the sight of barges , boats and canoes up and down the river, make it a sight to behold. Do not forget your camera ! We can accommodate 6 adults ( we can also arrange a sleeper couch for 2 children under 12, by prior arrangement.)

Views were incredible. Property is very central. Easy access to great beaches, the marina and a stones throw from Bathurst.
Gail was an absolutely incredible hostess. An absolute pleasure to have dealt with her. Friendly, courteous and ready to help out. The place was also very wonderful - spacious, clean, stunning view and generally great value for money. I am certainly returning to book at this establishment. Thank you Gail :-)

Views, views, views of the Kowie River, the sunsets are amazing also! Perfect place to relax and recharge. The house has a full inverter system, so you won't even notice load shedding. Kitchen is very well fitted with everything you need!
We had THE most wonderful stay at Cowie View Cottage Communication was fantastic from the very first message, and the property far exceeded our exectations. We loved having the hosts close bye and even though they are technically on the same property, we had all the privacy in the world, and loved the extra security. The incredible views from every bedroom, the home away from home feel, the warm welcome, the amazing advice on what to do in Port Alfred and just the overall friendliness we felt from the moment we arrived will definitely see us booking here again! Thanks Gail and Rod for the memories we were able to create in such a short time. We cannot recoment this place enough and already look forward to our next visit

West Bank is a tranquil neighborhood with beautiful trees and stunning homes and is centrally situated to all amenities. We are close to Rosehill Shopping Centre, 1.8 Km) which houses Woolworths, Spar , Clicks and many other shops should you not want to go into town. We are also close to town where you will find Heritage Mall, which is full of shops, and all the restaurants and coffee shops are close by. The renowned Royal St Andrews Golf Course is only a few km away from Kowie View Cottage, as are our beautiful beaches.
Many amenities are walking distances away, otherwise you can call an Uber .

I am a retired mother of three. I love to socialize and we often attend musiic festivals. We do a lot of travelling around South Africa. My favourite place has to be the West Coast. My favourite mode of travel is Cruise Liners as I i do not enjoy flying. I taught Math's for 30 years and I have also been involved in teaching Tourism. I am now happily retired.
