Relax with the whole family in this old and cosy farmhouse, entered through the flagstone barn. Oak panels, Inglenook fireplaces with wood burners for the winter and a sun soaked patio with fabulous views all year round. Approached by a track through pass ancient beech trees after which the farm was named. 3 double bedrooms, one family bathroom reached via stone steps which wind around the chimney. Used as a location for the BBCs new production of the 'Famous Five' adventures by Enid Blyton. Ffawydden, used as the location for Uncle Quentin and Georges home in the recent Famous Five films, exudes history with its old oak beams, panelled living room and two inglenook fireplaces downstairs. There is a winding flagstone staircase which leads to 3 bedrooms and the bathroom. BEWARE - although the cottage featured in the Famous Five films, it is not beside the welsh coastline.

Amazing place. Absolutely beautiful scenery, very quiet and remote. Inside the property everything is as it should be, well equipped kitchen, logs for the log burner, and very fast internet (not sure how when it’s this remote). We booked last minute and the host couldn’t do enough for us. Highly recommended

Very satisfying stay from start to finish. The cottage is in a stunning location and has everything you need. Commutation with the host was second to none. Couldn't recommend the place more.
Wonderful location with views over a quiet valley. The house is very well kept and we found it a great place to relax for a few days and use as a base for hiking. Also recommended the 30min walk to the little pub across the valley. Would definitely come back!
The cottage was in a beautiful location with stunning views from every window. We also really enjoyed having a cozy evening by the fire.

The cottage has its own drive, which is bumpy, through a field and copse of beech trees. It sits on its own with fabulous views in the Brecon Beacons National Park.
Plenty of parking space. It is necessary to open and close one gate to keep any cattle or sheep out of the area for car parking. Drive slowly along the access track which is bumpy.
