Welcome to the Hechtviertel - the charming and attractive residential area and one of the best known trendy neighborhoods in Dresden (directly connected to the Dresdner Neustadt).
Several playgrounds, parks/green spaces and the proximity to the Dresdner Heide invite you to play or even relax. The streets are lively and on summer evenings life takes place on the streets, in outdoor gastronomy areas and in backyards. In the Hecht, culinary gourmets but also travelers with a tight budget get their money's worth. Those looking for shopping opportunities will also find what they are looking for - from supermarkets to office and vegetable stores via late-night stores. Directly across the street from the apartment is a popular bakery, which is open from Monday to Sunday.
The cultural highlight in the neighborhood is the ST. Pauli church, which attracts around the year with concerts and theater performances. In addition, the neighborhood is a home to a number of artists and studios.
The tram lines 7, 8 and 13 and the bus line 64 offer easy access to the public transport system and the S-Bahn station "Bischofsplatz" takes you to the city center in just a few minutes. If you feel like going on a day trip to Meißen or the Saxon Switzerland, you can easily take the line S1 of the S-Bahn.
Another plus point is the proximity to the highway. The A4 is only a 5-minute drive away.

The accommodation is located in the Hechtviertel, which is located north of Dresden city center and about 1.6 km from the Elbe River in front of the southern slope of the Hellerterrasse. It is a bright old building apartment with a balcony in a multi-family house in a quiet location.
Shopping facilities are located on the respective parallel streets to the accommodation and can be reached in 15 minutes by foot. A bakery can be found directly across from the house.
The connection to public transport is also excellent. A bus stop is located in 1-2 minutes walking distance, practically also opposite the apartment. The streetcar & S-Bahn stop Bischofsplatz can be reached in about 10-15 minutes walk directly down the street. Sharing bikes (1 Euro per 15 min) can also usually be found along the street at all times.
Arriving by car? Should not be a problem, free parking in the streets around the accommodation should be no problem.
Various pubs, restaurants, bars and the St. Pauli Ruin are located in the immediate vicinity of the accommodation. Also the Dresden Neustadt with its various attractions is only a stone's throw away.
