Our stay in Barrow was great. Susan and Myron provided warm, welcoming accommodations. Despite some attractions being closed due to COVID, Susan’s tour helped us understand life on the Arctic Coastline. Definitely a unique experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Latitude 71.

Latitude 71B&B is such a wonderful, cosy place - and the perfect base to explore Barrow and its wildlife. The house is very charming. We spent 3 nights and enjoyed every single moment. We really felt at home! Susan & Myron were superb hosts. Susan is also a fan-tas-tic cook; her food was simply fabulous which made every meal a feast! The atmosphere was gorgeous, and room/bathroom very well equiped. We sincerely hope to come back one day. Highly recommended!

Latitude 71 has been our home for a week - and it felt just like home, with one exception - Susan’s impressive cooking was way better than your average homemade meal. On the outside, it’s quite typical Utqiagvik/Barrow wooden home - but inside, it’s very stylish and cozy, with artwork of local carvers and soft armchairs to drop in after a long tundra hike. Susan and Myron have been exceptionally thoughtful hosts, with great insights and tips and interesting stories from their long experience of living in the northernmost town in the U.S. We absolutely loved every aspect of our stay - and are very grateful for our hosts’ willingness to help get the best of our week spent in town. For those who know a thing or two about challenges of life so far above the Arctic circle: WiFi is a bonus, fresh fruits and veggies that need to be brought in by plane are a real treat, sparkling clean accommodation when you have melting tundra and muddy roads outside - that’s a gift :-) And this loving couple has it all and a some more. Awesome experience.

This is an excellent place to stay. It is spotlessly clean and has all the amenities you would ever want. We were too busy exploring Barrow to enjoy the common living area but other people were and they looked right at home. The breakfast was also amazing. I wouldn't stay anywhere else if i make it back to Barrow!
