You’ll never know you’re in a basement in this spacious apartment. With 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a kitchenette, and an office space, it can host retreat seekers and business travelers, midshipmen and Johnnies. The quiet neighborhood is a great place to relax after a day out downtown (a 10-minute drive away). No steps anywhere - ask us if you have other accessibility needs! We live upstairs with our dogs, but your space is entirely separate and has its own private entrance. We chose the name Grey Havens from The Lord of the Rings. It reflects our goal of providing a space where anyone can find a restorative retreat from the world. To that end, the space has been newly renovated to be as restful as possible, with soothing neutral colors and a lack of visual busy-ness. Natural light streams through the windows. You can enjoy your favorite show on the living room TV, discover a new book in the study, or spend your whole stay sleeping in the bedrooms. Even the hallway features a thoughtful collection of local artwork. The kitchenette is equipped for simple cooking with a hot plate, toaster oven, and microwave. The huge driveway provides ample space for parking. Lynn's husband, Gregg, has worked in property management and home repair, so you can rest assured that everything is in top notch condition.

We had a wonderful stay at Grey Havens, we loved all of the thoughtful detaila in the home and it was perfectly clean!
Grey Havens is so peaceful and thoughtfully put together, with such charming touches and in close proximity to the hidden gems of Annapolis! Tucked right next to Quiet Waters park, and super close to the best croissants I have ever tasted at Bakers and Co., this stay is the perfect location to explore the area and within striking distance of DC and Baltimore if you are renting a car. The apartment itself was cozy with a layout that allows people to gather centrally or have som quiet time in separate areas. Warm blankets everywhere and a lovely coffee setup with all the dishware you'd need. Be sure to give the pups a pet and ask Micaela for a local's perspective on the best things to see and do in the area!
Grey Haven is truly a haven of rest and quiet. It is also thoughtfully decorated with lots of thoughtful attention given to details. The place is in a peaceful neighborhood which is quiet and yet very easily accessible to all that Annapolis has to offer.

When we stay at airbnbs, our *hope* is that the kitchen and bathroom would be fully functional and special care given to cleanliness, that the space would be quiet and private, and that the mattresses would be comfortable. Our realistic expectation is that some of those hopes will be met but probably not all. Grey Havens, however, met and exceeded even our hopes. Not only were all of the spaces sparkling clean, but the mattresses were *all* comfortable and the linens were an extra special addition of "just right". The space was tranquil and well appointed. The hosts were friendly and responsive. Stay here! We will, whenever we are in Annapolis.

Hillsmere is a quiet wooded suburb of Annapolis. We are just a mile away from beautiful Quiet Waters Park and our favorite local restaurants.
We are not near public transportation, but we have a lot of space for parking and are just a short drive away from downtown Annapolis.

I'm using an LLC for liability protection, but I’m not a big company, and I only host one property. My name is Lynn, and my greatest joy in life comes from supporting my family. I’ve spent many years as the brains behind my husband’s home repair business. Now my daughter and I are working together to co-host Grey Havens. In my free time, you can usually find me digging deep into WWII history or on the hunt for more interesting recipes.
