The perfect spot for a cozy romantic getaway, or a couples retreat ! Gorgeous views await you at "Stay Salty"! Conveniently located on the Kennebec River in the historical town of Bath, Maine . As you enter the cozy home, you are greeted with amazing, panoramic views of the Kennebec River, which feeds into the Atlantic Ocean. The comfy home provides a well equipped kitchen, with all new appliances, an open floor plan with the dining area and living room. A few steps down the hall brings you to the 2 bedrooms, and one full bath. Each bedroom offers a king size bed, while the bathroom is small, it furnishes a bathtub/shower combo. Just outside the kitchen presents a great deck area complete with outdoor furnishings, dining set, propane grill, fire pit, hammock, and beautiful views of the water. Conveniently, there is a boat launch just one road away from the home. This is surely a special place to stay, and we will welcome your pup as well, for an additional pet fee. The location of this home is right on the water, at the edge of the land, offering gorgeous views of the Kennebec River in Bath, Maine ! Bath, also known as the City of Ships, has a lovely walkable downtown complete with restaurants, pubs, retail shopping, a drug store, and weekly farmer's market which is held at the city's waterfront park. The home is in close proximity to the Great Popham Beach, Fort Popham, Reid State Park, Thomas Point Beach, Morse Mountain, and other great hiking trails as well as ocean areas to explore. Bath is also within reasonable driving distance to Harpswell, Boothbay Harbor, Wiscasset, Bar Harbor, Freeport and Portland, and more ! Stay Salty sits at the end of a quiet street right on the Kennebec River. Inside the house is beautiful with a warm homey feel and is well taken care of. The view from the large windows and the deck are fabulous. Stay Salty is a perfect location if you are wanting to plan day trips to explore other areas of ME. Sheri supplies a large binder full of information about local restaurants, places of interest, shopping and much more. It was a great resource for us during our stay and it provided many options for us we didn’t know about. Communication with Sheri is easy and prompt. The best compliment I can pay is I definitely would recommend this listing to others and would certainly rent again.
Sheri's listing was spectacular. The views, the privacy, the beauty of the surroundings were all stellar. There are a few great eateries within walking distance as well as a grocery store and local shops. A bald eagle landed on the tree outside the home and it was an awesome and memorable sighting. Peaceful and quiet, the neighbors were so nice; they introduced themselves and made us feel welcome! The house was clean and well stocked. Highly recommend and we would definitely be returning!
We had a very brief but lovely stay over Thanksgiving week. The house was wonderful. Perfect for a family of four, the beds were very comfortable and the kids really enjoyed the cozy throws for cuddling on the sofa and looking out at the water. It has water views on two sides. We enjoyed our morning coffee while watching the docks and geese swim out in the morning. So tranquil. I could imagine that this place would be absolutely fantastic in the summertime, as you would be able to take advantage of more of the surroundings.
Just an amazing spot you can’t beat the location
Bath is our new favorite location!! We usually stay in the Freeport area, but we found Bath to be more central to the places we like to visit (Reid State Park, Popham Beach, Brunswick). The house is close to downtown where you will find wonderful shops, bakeries, restaurants, and a farmers market on the weekend. Everyone in town so pleasant! We can't say enough about the house. The setting is magical! We enjoyed watching the river change throughout the day as the tide ebbed and flowed. The deck is a relaxing place to sit and read while enjoying your coffee or a cocktail. The yard is great if you are traveling with dogs as we were. They loved watching the boats go by! The owners have thought of everything in stocking the kitchen. The beds and linens are on point! We truly felt at home as soon as we walked in, and we can't wait to come back!!

Enough parking for 2 cars comfortably in the driveway, in front of the garage--nice neighborhood to walk around, and is very close to downtown Bath, being off of Washington St.
