Unfortunately, the unit was not cleaned thoroughly by the time my family arrived. The sheets on the beds appeared to be clean. However, there was a terrible smell in the unit. There was clumps of hair on the carpets, and the floors were sticky under our feet. The floors were visibly not vacuumed. We ended up needing to leave and find a hotel room. I’m disappointed in our experience, as we were looking forward to our stay. The host decided she wanted to charge us for a night’s stay anyways, even though we did not stay. We are a young family with 3 small children and had nowhere to stay at midnight. I found her decision to try to charge us to be inconsiderate given the circumstances. Thankfully, Airbnb sorted this out for us.
