Complete the picture with a visit to one of the town's charming old harborside bars, good shopping, an art gallery, or the National Maritime Museum. Located on a peninsula near Falmouth, Pendennis Castle, erected in the reign of Henry VIII, is the town's most famous tourist attraction. The Roseland Peninsula, with its rocky coves, sandy beaches, and lush green landscape, sits across Falmouth Harbour from the charming town of St Mawes. Take the passenger boat from Falmouth (15 miles away) or your automobile to get there (15 minutes).
As a nature-paradise, lover's Swanpool Nature Reserve offers an abundance of species and an abundance of natural beauty. A golf course is also available. You'll want to return to Falmouth over and over again since it has so much to offer visitors of all ages.
