This is not a usual AirBnB stay. If you’re looking more for the family cabin in the woods, then this is for you. First impressions were rough. Front porch was dirty from animals and lack of maintenance. The front bedroom had a major lady bug problem that took us a while to clean up. The rest of the house is fine but needs a few repairs and updating. We made it work and decided not to complain. This just felt like visiting your great grandma who hasn’t updated or cleaned “extra things” in a while. For some, this might be right up your alley. For others, they need the heads up. The price is why we grabbed it. Also be aware it’s 20 mins from any decent store or restaurant. That’s not a bad thing necessarily, but just know it first. With some TLC, this place could be great. The way we got it was lacking that TLC.

The stay was very nice and quiet. We stayed in the winter, so the pool was not open which would have added to the experience. As far as the location, the house is secluded however, it’s off the beaten path and the gravel driveway to the house is rough. The owner seemed very nice and responsive. The house itself was fully equipped with everything you need in terms of kitchen and bath. The beds were very uncomfortable and the pillows were very old. The house was a bit dusty and musty. The kitchen was updated and very nice. The bathrooms need to be updated. Overall the house got the job done for what we needed it for and we enjoyed some tranquility.
