Check-in & check out with the owner who was very friendly and he showed us round and explained how to use the gadgets - house alarm, gate, pool robot etc. It is a spacious family home which was clean and tidy and very welcoming. The owners moved in at the start of 2023 and have since installed the fabulous pool and I suspect that in another 12 months or so it will feel more 'finished'. That said, rooms were a good size, they had kindly created space on shelves etc, living space was ideal and outside eating area was great. When we did have an issue, it was repaired within 24 hrs. There is a family cat which was not sure about having strangers in her house so we barely saw her but we did leave food outside for her every evening and it was gone in the morning! Barbezieux was very quiet (August is holiday month) but pretty and it is a great location from which to explore the surrounding area. There is a choice of supermarkets nearby.
