We enjoyed our Fall Getaway at Black Bear cabin! We will be back to take advantage of the winter and summer activities on the larger resort property and around Mille Lacs. We loved the easy access to stores and restaurants in Isle.

What a lovely cabin! Stayed here with my extended family (three couples + a baby) and there was more than enough room. Beds were comfy and the place has central air conditioning. The little resort it’s on had some free paddle boards available and the owners were friendly and helpful. We had a great time canoeing on the lake and hanging out on the huge front deck. There’s a nice town park with playground equipment and a little beach right next to it and a bigger state park with a nicer beach and easy hiking trails a 5 minute drive/15 minute walk away. The Wi-Fi was a little spotty but the cell phone network is good. It wasn’t perfect, but my brother was able to work remotely (including meetings) using a combination of the two. The town is an easy walk and there’s a decent sized grocery store and a bar with good food.
