Very safe neighborhood. Super quiet location, though you can quickly walk to more animated areas, like bars and events along the Seine river. This is a well-off Parisian neighborhood, so there are lots of designer and art galleries, but it is also a historic neighborhood, with most of Paris’s independent cinemas, loads of bookshops, historic cafés, and open air markets. 15 minutes walk from the Seine, Notre Dame or the Catacombs, 25 minutes from the Louvre, and just as close to many local Parisian secrets to uncover!!

Look for these buses when coming home from a day on the town:
BUS 38, BUS 27, BUS 24, BUS 91, BUS 82, BUS 24, BUS 83, BUS 89, BUS 84 … all have stations near by.
Late at night, look for the N21, N122, N02 or N14. (N= night bus or “noctilien” )
The nearest RER stop is RER B Luxembourg. You can very often take any line to Châtelet (Paris central metro station) to take the B home.
The nearest metro station, Raspail, is at a 15 minute a walk. You can find lines 4 and 6 of the metro there.
Quick tips:
For Montmartre, walk 15 minutes to the metro 12 station Notre Dame des Champs. If you get off at Abesses, take the elevator unless you’re up for a challenge!
For the Louvre, take bus 27 or 21.
For the Eiffel Tower, take bus 82.
For catacombs, take RER B or BUS 38.
The RER B and BUS 38 follow the same itinerary. The bus might take longer, but ultimately leads you to the same places.
