We both loved the location, the lake is beautiful and so is the property. It was nice to have a place off the beaten path to stay. Driving in you really feel like your getting away from everything and if we brought paddle boards or kayaks what an awesome spot. Great dock to launch from and drink your morning coffee or even cast a line out. Good communication with host, they helped us with some internet issues very timely. I will say the place is pretty dated, I like the fishing cabin vibe but not the broken down living room chair or the wobbling kitchen table chairs. Pillows were both the extremes of fat and firm and flat and soft. The bed was actually pretty good. Found an old baby wipe in the closet with something on it, dust on the curtains and the damn neighbors were playing some kind spiritual sensei garbage the entire time that they knew anyone was around which really took away from the solitude and privacy.
Had a great time, amazing views, leave the neighbor alone and you will have a great time. Would come back.
Beautiful house tucked away in the woods, just a quick drive away from town. Google maps will take you further down the road than necessary, so look for the land markers listed in the directions. The neighbor is quite serious about the parking, so make sure your trunk is not sticking passed the parking signs. There’s stairs down to the main entrance of the house that can be slick when it rains. The upstairs and downstairs are not connected, so you’ll have to walk outside and down the stairs to access. Beautiful and easy access to the lake via dock. There is a dinky black bear that lives in the bushes behind the shed, so be mindful of that.
Wow, what a beautiful spot to stay. Having your own private dock to the lake was honestly the best part, but I also appreciated all the things provided along with the house. It's a great location to get away and get that cabin in the woods feeling, while still being near enough to a grocery store if you forgot something.
