Picturesque, woodland treetop retreat, overlooking IronMill valley, on the edge of Exmoor's Dark sky reserve. Bird watchers paradise & wildlife heaven. Upside-down property, with large lounge & 4x4 mt balcony, overlooks the valley. Private woodland & tracks meander in both directions. With private fishing rights available from our riverbanks. Public Rambler tracks & bridle paths mean dog walkers & ramblers are asked to always observe country codes. Approximately 1 hour drive to either coast.

The place is stunning, surrounded by nature and birds. The house is functional. The host was very nice. We went there as a group to celebrate a friend's birthday and it was great. Highly recommend!

Had a lovely few days in the valley, such amazing surrounding area. A little scary on the drive up - was made easier with a 4wd vehicle, but there is a slightly less steep way up also! Used it as a base to go exploring North and South, and loved it.
We enjoyed our weekend here, it's a very private setting and the view of the woods from the lounge window was lovely. There was plenty of room for our group of 6 plus two big dogs.
Beautiful place, middle of the woods with a river nearby, so we had the opportunity to do walks with the kids along the river and for them to enjoy the feeling you get among the trees, fresh air and nature all-around. Would go again

The Village of Oakford 1-2 miles can be walked to by woodland footpaths or road.
There is a lovely village Pub, "The Red Lion", that serves Alcohol, beers and food.
There are some excellent small gastro pubs and venues in the surrounding area serving great menus, booking is advised well ahead.
Close to Exmoor both coasts are approx a one hour drive.
There is parking available for 1-2 cars out side the property.
Set on the edge of Devon & Somerset, Exmoor borders close to Taunton and Exeter. Tiverton Parkway is the closest Train Station.
Beaches are approx 1 hour to either coast.
Market towns of Dulverton, South Molton and Barnstaple are approx 30-45 mins drive away.
