The old mansion is located in Melissi, a small seaside village in Corinthia region of the Peloponnese. The original house in the property dated back to the 1800s, but it was completely destroyed in the large earthquake of Corinth in 1928. In its place, the current house was built in 1932, designed by the renowned mid-war architect Vasilis Tsagris (great uncle to the current owner). It was fully renovated in 2023, with respect to the original design but reconstructed to fit the modern way of life. It is a 5 bedroom, two-story house of 240 square meters, right next to the sea, and one can find many nearby small beaches suitable for swimming. The house is found inside a very large garden of 15,000 sqm, filled with large eucalyptus trees, olive trees, pine trees and citrus trees. It has a large private parking space, upon entering the gate. It consists of 5 bedrooms (2 on the ground floor and 3 on the first floor), each having its own unique character and charm, with a double bed as well as en-suite bathroom with shower. Each bedroom has independently controlled air-conditioning (for both heating and cooling) and is equipped with its own private refrigerator and a large closet. The furniture found in the common areas, also designed by V. Tsagris, complement the character of the house bridging the old with the new. The heritage of the house as well as the family (owners of the property since the 1800s) is also preserved and highlighted through the many decorative elements, memorabilia, family books and archives, while the photographs of I. Apostolidis that decorate the bedrooms provide an added artistic touch to the space. In the front and back yard of the house, one will also find a fully-equipped BBQ, an old cistern that has been turned into a small swimming pool perfect for relaxation (where an outdoor shower has also been fitted), as well as an outdoor sitting area as well as several little corners in the garden that are perfect to unwind under the shade.
