The Bothy is a cosy wee place to stay. It’s a self contained tiny home suitable for 2 guests. It is situated in the garden of our family home. It is a studio style accommodation, one room, one bed with a private en-suite. Drylaw is a residential area that has excellent links to the airport and city centre. The distance to the airport is 5 miles, the city centre is 2.8 miles. The hot tub is a great place to unwind after a busy day exploring beautiful historic Edinburgh. The Bothy is suitable for 2 guests. It is also possible to accommodate guests with an infant and we provide a cot bed. It is one open plan room with an en-suite. The day bed pulls out to a comfortable king size bed The kitchenette has a small air fryer, microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster. We provide tea, coffee, cereal and milk **there is no oven or hob** The private bathroom has an electric shower with instant hot water. There is a seating area to relax. There is also table and chairs that may be used to dine or it can be used as a work space. The tv allows guests to log on to Netflix, BBCi player etc. We provide Amazon prime. The hot tub is strictly available to use between 10am and 10pm. We do not offer times outwith these hours. It is situated in a gated private courtyard area, it is exclusively used by Bothy guests. There is also a small outdoor table and chairs. We provide dressing gowns and slippers. ** please note that the Bothy is situated in the garden of a family home in a residential area**

Great location, went above and beyond with facilites, very helpful hosts.
My son and I had a lovely stay. The”bothy” is exactly as described and was a great location for a his birthday weekend in Edinburgh. The hot tub was prefect after a long day sightseeing (and my son managed several hours in there on each day of our stay). Couldn’t have asked for more.
We had a great stay, everything was just as described! Just what we needed for the few days we were staying for. Would definitely recommend.
The Bothy was a terrific find for our stay! The place was really cosy and private! The place made our stay in Edinburgh even more memorable! The hot tub was a great addition and it was nice to come back and relax after a long day of touring around the city! Even inside the Bothy everything was on point! The hosts were very friendly and responsive and were only a message away!! I cannot recommend this place enough and I would definitely love to stay again next time I'm in Edinburgh! Very easy to find and check in. Place is exactly like the pictures. The hot tub was ready for us to use when we arrived and it was lovely! Really enjoyed our stay and appreciated the milk, tea and coffee that was left.

This is a residential area. There are a few local shops- bakery, newsagents, post office, cafe and takeaway shops all within a few minutes walk.
We are a 15 minute walk to Davidson mains village where there is a pharmacy, Tesco and the Auld Inn pub which has a restaurant and beer garden. The Scottish Engineer is a 10 min walk towards town and also has a beer garden and restaurant.
Close by is the Craigleith retail park.
A 25 min walk or jump on the bus (5 min) to an area called Stockbridge. It’s has lots of shops, bars and restaurants. It’s on the way to town and it is not difficult to walk to Princes Street/ city centre from there.
There is ample free on street parking at the Bothy.
The airport bus is the number 200 and it stops at the end of the street, on Groathill Road, this is only a 2 minute walk away from the Bothy, this stop is called- Parish Church Drylaw.
A 2 minute walk in the other direction takes you to Ferry road- this bus stop (across the road from Drylaw police station) is where regular buses go to the city centre. The number 29, 27 and 37 will take you to the city centre/Princes Street.
If you are travelling to Edinburgh by train, Haymarket train station is closer to us.
It will take you 10 minutes in a taxi to the Bothy from Haymarket. Waverley station will take around 15 minutes.
